Here's a short video from the bikes and rec race last weekend. I missed the first messenger race but got the bike polo, sprints and beer relay. I suggest watching it on the vimeo site for better quality.
You can now watch the full quality HD version from here; Just click the icon on the bottom right of the video (4 arrows) for full resolution.
I bought a copy of MASH SF this summer and gave it to my step brother when he told me he was interested in riding on the road. A few weeks later he was doing no handed track stands, backwards riding and wheelies on his first fixed gear. Yesterday he showed me the next coming of epic fixed gear movies from the same people that brought us MASH SF; It is called MACAFRAMA and will debut at Interbike later this month. From the looks of the teasers and trailors below it should be nothing short of amazing. The camera equipment looks to be upgraded to HD, and the cinemetogrpahy is just flat out awesume. Of course the riding isn't bad either so check out some of the videos on vimeo.
September 6th, 6pm (be early), Kathryn Albertson Park; click image for more info. Looks like fun and don't forget to dress like your favorite historical figure, such as Henry Ford. God bless Henry Ford..
A bunch of noobs got together this labor day courtesy of your promotor/planner Sean E., and made a real life bike race happen! The 2008 Hustle and Grind! WahBam!
Cheers to those that came to race (or just drink a shit load of coffee), and certainly all the people that came to work stops (and help people shotgun beers).
So watch the video we crapped out and maybe you'll see yourself doing something cool or lame or just passing gas. We promise to bring the Hustle and Grind back in 2009 with more prizes, more coffee (maybe not) and less push ups. Also don't forget to check back to this blog once in a while as we might be posting other videos from other races if we can get our shit together again.
EDIT: I want to apologize to a few people for not giving them proper credit in the video. Man, I'm an idiot! So when you are wearing your H&G shirt and feeling all good, which you should, you can thank Andrew and his girlfriend Jamie for funding and printing all of these, amongst other sacrifices that they made for this first time event; No easy task. Also props to Noble for designing the art work, and the Darren and Keith Moto-Camera crew! Freakin badass! (like reo speedwagon, europe and journey all combinded into a super rocker)
